Here we go! This time it is all about Easter. It’s the greatest story ever told. Jesus dying for our sins, and then rising from the dead; VICTORIOUS! We will learn and experience all this through the eyes of Joseph of Arimathea.

Teaching Objectives for the children to understand:

  • Jesus died so that we might be forgiven of all the wrong that we have done, said or even thought.
  • Jesus didn’t stay dead, but came alive again, rising from Joseph’s tomb. He is alive today!
  • Everyone has to work out what they believe about Jesus.
  • It can be difficult to tell other people that we believe in Jesus, but there comes a time for us all when we need to stand up for Jesus if we believe in Him, and He will help us to do what is right at that time.

Key/memory verse:

‘Joseph was a follower of Jesus, but in secret, because he was afraid of the Jewish authorities’ John 19:38.
